My name is Omar Laboy, I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder when I was 2 ½ years old. I am now 9 years old. Through out the years I have grown so much and have learned a lot with the support of my parents,school,therapists.They are patient with me, but most of all they show me lots of love. I am partially non-verbal, but am learning to communicate more and more each day. I learn to ask for things, and have learned to wait for things when I want them instead. Now, I use my words to express what I want! I love to be around people, I'm a very loving boy :). Some things that are enjoyable to me is that I am especially talented in my artistic skills. I replicate drawings by hand and from my computer of cartoon characters from shows that I like to watch. You can check out some of my drawings on this blog! I'm going to music school to play piano,drums,vocals and I like to sing. Dancing is fun too. I am just a boy who is learning to live my life, and every day I learn something new with the help of my parents and others around me.
